Don't go out much but when I have I can't miss the number of people both biking and walking (more walking than jogging). Since we live in a rural area all that activity takes place in or by the paved roadway. By the "gear" it seems most are new to the activity---they haven't fully accessorized as yet. Having been one of them in my biking days I have no problem with it in general---but I do have one particular concern. People walking with pets (who are also new to this) seem to forget they have an animal to both protect and manage. That little item occasionally gets missed and that can cause a real problem for drivers.
