Kudos to the space program and all it has meant to mankind.
Recently the History Channel (as I recall) had a special about Hubble---it was a fitting tribute to this marvel---happy birthday Hubble.

I don't understand the various types of imagery we see from the Hubble. I prefer to see what is visible to the human eye (magnification is OK) over the computer enhanced or computer interpreted astronomy.

The human eye is very limited and poor at visualizing the electro-magnetic spectrum, hence the compilation-enhancements. I prefer the pretty pictures even knowing what they are. I have some framed on my wall. You can downed load many of the photo files, some of free or for a fee on the web.
Can hardly wait for the soon to be (we all hope) James Webb Space Telescope.
