    Dialing in the sight

Something I was remiss in checking. I was having trouble getting the repeat grouping that I wanted from my bow. I had not rechecked my sight alignment. The scribe marks were still aligned but something had changed. I spent the last few days and probably shot 40 flights of five arrows doing micro adjustments. Yesterday was really good, now I had to get used to making sure my right hand rested in the proper spot on my jaw for a correct release. The winds are gusting to 20mph right to left across my yard and I just had to take my time and be mechanically correct and not rush,

In the many years I have been using this set up I have never put and entire 5 arrow flight dead center from 35 yards. I did it today, Wow. The arrows are gold tip Hunter 400 graphite with 100gm field tips
the Bow is a PSE Drive R with a 60 pound draw

High capacity quivers must really freak out the California liberal compound bow haters. Does California have a five arrow quiver limit?

We first we have to get out of the stay at home crap. I have an invitation up at two ranches to reduce the Wild Turkey and Pig populations. Pigs are listed as an invasive species so you can hunt them year round. Tags are $10 per critter. Turkey we have a fall and spring hunting season

Wait a minute here! Do I read this right? You have to pay $10 to kill an invasive pig? Hell, they should be paying you to kill them!

Actually I was wrong. The greedy bastards now want $24.33 per boar tag but you can buy as many as you want and there is no daily limit

That is just plain crazy. You must not yet have the economic damage they are causing here.

They are not that prevalent. Yet...

One of the local state parks in the wine country and the surrounding vineyards were having a problem and it was too expensive to hire a hunter. They hit upon a novel idea. For $20 you can get an Archery hunting permit that is good for 2 days. They open the park to bow hunters from Sept to March, the tourist off season. For another $100 they offer a guided hunt. There is very little public land in the area that is open for Hunting. Its a win win. We get to hunt and they get rid of the boar. Other parks are looking into it
