    Ok I am getting antsy

After a week from working from home I am really wanting to go shoot my new pistol. All the ranges are closed. I could go out to the farm but the guy who has worked for me out there all these years is not in good health and I don't want to disturb him. Would I be too terrible if I go way back out on the back roads and pop a few caps? I am that anxious.

I don't know where you live, but it sounds like a city somewhere. I saw somewhere that maybe gunstores (and their ranges) were "essential". I wouldn't hesitate to swing by as I was making my other essential stops.

But, governors across the nation are imploring people to stay home as a public safety measure. So theres that.

I am watching anxiously to see if this event will reverse the migration to urban centers. Not because cities are the equivalent of human wet markets, but because of the simple things people didn't even realize they gave up.

I'm getting antsy too, but its cabin fever. The weather here has been lousy for weeks. Snowy and cold. Too windy to shoot and the golf course is delayed opening up. Maybe the forest circus will open the gates to our tailwater so I can do a little turkey hunting or fly fishin.

If this mess serves to accelerate the exodus of populations from the rat-runs of our cities, I view that with some trepidation. Too often they bring with them what they are trying to escape, and I am not talking about a virus. I even live in one of these progy infested cities myself.

I live in a quasi rural area. In my state if you are outside the city limits you can discharge a firearm as long as you are 500 feet from any building or dwelling. I am going to find a place today and shoot something.

I have been fascinated by the migration to the cities, with urban centers recenty surpassing rural areas, in terms of population, for the first time in recorded history. It was a consideration of our business when we looked at a 20 year horizon (think mass transit vs rural highways). I still puzzle over what effect the point and method of delivery of government services had on that mass migration.

If this event reverses the trend to urbanization, it would be profound. And a new wave of visionaries will change the course of mankind again. That kind of bs is what we are left to ponder when its snowy and cold outside.

    “Progy” = progressive

Saw it in a reply on a website and adopted it. The shortened version displays my small regard for them.

Ah---thank you---I see it's the language of the hood---no wonder I couldn't find it. Apparently Joe is more "in tune" than I thought
