    Number one came in today.

To my surprise, it was a Giallo de Summer - a large yellow heirloom. It also happens to be my all time favorite eater. I should have a couple more tomorrow. This is the earliest I remember. The only thing I did different was to water the seeds from planting until germination with a liquid fish fertilizer.

    don"

Splitting my time between the montane and the mesas

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

We had to pick a couple of buckets today to give away - probably close to 20 pounds. We will have at least that many in 2 days again. I love this time of year.

    OK-----life is better here!

My wife made a score on local tomatoes today---and I was waiting to have lunch until she got home

And---I just finished a bacon (thick double smoked) and tomato sandwich on Jewish Rye toast with Mayo

And----now I want another one---the NY strip I got out for dinner might have to wait
