    Super Tuesday Results

When I went to vote this morning, I was surprised not to be accosted by campaign workers outside the polling place. In fact, there was not a single campaign worker there. I have never seen that before.

In order to vote in my precinct, you have to drive past my house. I've noticed more traffic than normal, but not a whole lot.

I don't know about other locales, but watching the early evening Houston news on television, I see a huge voter turnout with very long lines in some locations and not so long in others. I'm not certain, but it is looking to me like the Black voters are out to make a statement as some of those polling stations are packed with voters. Not sure what the Latino turnout might be.

It's going to be a long, interesting night.

I got an interesting report from my neighbor today after he voted in the Democrat primary in San Antonio, Tx. He went with the idea to cast his vote for Joe Biden. When he viewed the screen on the voting machine he was perplexed to see a list of the top 10 contenders, even those who had dropped out, on the screen, but no Joe Biden. After looking several times, he finally spotted a line at the bottom saying there were additional candidates on the next page. When he cycled to the next page there were many no-name candidates there with Joe Biden nestled down in the middle of the names. He voted for old Joe, but not because they made it prominent or even equal in his estimation.

We discussed who, why & how this ballot obfuscation of a primary contender in comparison with his major completion could occur. He wanted to know how the evil Republicans could do something underhanded like that to further Russian commands. I said, “Find the Sanders’ supporters in the woodpile,” but have no real idea how Texas makes the ballot list. It might be interesting to know though.

I looked at an on-line sample ballot at two sites, and both listed the presidential candidates alphabetically. I can’t explain the disconnect here, but my neighbor is reliably coherent despite his Democrat predilections.

The ballot position is chosen by lottery. Working for an elected official, we always watched that lottery closely. I forget the percentage, but the first name on the ballot has an advantage.

It was too late to remove the "quitters" from the ballot.

I'm a "mail-in" voter so I can travel without worrying about voting.

On a related note to the Election.

We had a choice, Paper Ballot or electronic touch screen here in the City of Livermore ,Alameda County, Calif where most of the residents either work at or did work at The Livermore National Laboratory . While I was there at least 50 people voted and not one chose the electronic touch screen. I would venture to say no one trusted not having a paper trail. I know I didn't

My prediction is for a floor fight of some kind at the Democrat Convention, but for background control, and not for the Presidential nominee...Biden will emerge as the easiest to control by his endorsers...Bloomberg will see the writing on the wall, and switch his backing to Biden...Sanders is the only one who doesn't realize his campaign is done, and that even the DNC can't stand his flavoring of socialism...The Democrat voting bloc doesn't care who runs as long as they get to vote against Trump...

All bets are off of course if Hillary has somebody whacked whom she thought was not following her instructions......Ben

In Virginia all results are on line..

Anyhow.. the more traditionally conservative a jurisdiction is, the higher vote for Biden.. the more traditionally liberal (Arlington, Alexandria), the lower the Biden per cent.. college towns ((Radford, Harrisonburg) went for Bernie..

Simular trend to GOP primarily in 2016..

I find nothing to disagree with on that Ben--I think you nailed it.

Atcher service...Bloomberg is acting according to prediction...
“Three months ago, I entered the race for President to defeat Donald Trump,” Bloomberg said in a statement. “Today, I am leaving the race for the same reason: to defeat Donald Trump – because it is clear to me that staying in would make achieving that goal more difficult.”

Thank goodness Bloomberg dropped out. He scared me more than the others.

It scares me that his money and backing is still in the race, and is available for more seemingly electable candidates......Ben

I think you nailed it again---Bloomberg's money may well shore up Biden's barren coffers. However, I was impressed by the success Biden had last night in states were he spent virtually nothing. Must depress the hell out of the fading socialist
