If you think trump is out of line now

....what do you think a second term will do to restrain his march to autocracy

    .....as the cultists cheer.

....and trump can build more cultists:

    From today's WSJ:
The former Democratic congressman and governor expressed his deep gratitude to the president and said, “If you’re asking me what my party affiliation is, I’m a Trump-ocrat.”
Ah yes---life is grand when you call all the shots

Can’t we all just get along..

I get hammered from both sides.. no one is neutral..

Don’t forget.. we (Virginia) had a big shake up in the 2019 election.. after the mass shooting in Virginia Beach and the refusal of the majority party (GOP) to address the issues (wouldn’t even pretend to study issues).. pendulum swung..

My prediction.. Nancy Pelosi will try and do something that will cause the president to have a knee jerk reaction and do or say “something “.. (and purple middle will swing away from him) just before the election

Just my opinion, I could be wrong..

I don't see it as a big deal - if he gets too far out of line the Democrats can always impeach him.

Oh! Wait! They already tried that didn't they.

Does that mean you are OK with the latest moves of pardons and his posture toward the Department of Justice?

I know you were not referring to me but I will add my two cents. This is all very simple. As long as the Dems can present nothing more than wacko's many of us will be forced to vote for Trump. It's just not that complicated.

I'm OK with very little of what he does. But until a better alternative is offered, I'll stick with the man we have now.

I'd like to think that our options are not that limited. At this point, he is running over the other two "co-equal" branches of government. There is no "co-equal" with trump.

Nobody is ever ok with the pardons. Obama released a gang of Puerto Rican terrorists or was that Clinton? Clinton pardoned a slew of criminals as did Bush and the rest. I never did hear of them pardoning any innocent people, imagine that. All I've ever heard is a bunch of ill-informed people with an agenda whining.

Ah yes---life is grand when you call all the shots
I'll bet, it's tough just being a little peon with a whine isn't it.

    From the WSJ:

WASHINGTON— Roger Stone was sentenced to three years and four months in prison on Thursday for lying to Congress and other crimes, after a tumultuous two weeks in which the government trial lawyers withdrew and President Trump repeatedly criticized the handling of the case.

Mr. Stone, a Republican consultant who has been a political adviser to Mr. Trump for decades, was sentenced to 40 months of incarceration, a $20,000 fine and two years of supervised release by Judge Amy Berman Jackson at a morning hearing in federal court in Washington, D.C. on charges of lying to Congress, obstruction and witness tampering.

The sentence was far less than the seven to nine years that trial prosecutors had initially recommended under federal guidelines before Attorney General William Barr and other senior officials overruled their original recommendation, suggesting a lighter punishment. Judge Jackson said following the guidelines would result in a sentence that “would be greater than necessary.”

Judge Jackson acknowledged Mr. Stone’s history of cultivating a public persona as a provocateur and a prankster.

“The problem is that nothing about this case was a joke. It wasn’t funny. It wasn’t a stunt and it wasn’t a prank. Stone’s conduct displayed flagrant disrespect for the institutions of government as established by the constitution, including Congress and this court,” said Judge Jackson in sentencing Mr. Stone.
...and all the while trump was attacking the Justice Department , the Judge, the jury forewoman, and the prosecutors---what a guy

Remember.. the Dem leadership was not serious about the impeachment.. (they were just “poking the bear”).. They were forced into it by the young ultra-progressive loud mouths.. if the impeachment would have been successful, the Dems would have Pence in the White House, they didn’t want Pence. Pence is an experienced politician and would have everyone loving his charming self, hard to beat a charmer in an election

Just my opinion, I could be wrong..

Yes. And I think our members here are almost always doing it. We disagree yet we still talk. I think our politicians could learn a few things here.
