Our society and the organization who couldn't articulate their moral intent and failed to screen its representatives accordingly? Remember the uproar when they tried to do just that?

I think its bigger than that. Virtually every aspect of modern society is a little guilty somehow IMHO.

Didn't stick around passed 6th grade in scouts. Was a fun time learning the different things. Think in on of my footlockers of stuff from childhood have a board with all the types of knots.
Like Honda mentioned had one scout master that wasn't quite right to me, but that's looking back now.

Excellent comments on this post, my friends. I came away from this discussion with a better understanding of the Boy Scouts.

Y'all reminded me of an old homemade poster I have from back in the day. We found it in my mother's house when we moved her out.

My valuable lesson learned in the Cub Scouts was that I am not a joiner and projects turn me off. It is beneficial to know your predilections early on so you can work around them even if they are poor traits. This reenforced what my report cards from elementary school kept telling me and my parents — Does Not Work Well With Others.

As I said above, pedophiles go where the children are easily accessible. We all know about the problems the Catholic church has had with child abuse, this is not a jab at Catholics, I'm sure other faiths have the same problems. It is just a reminder about where pedophiles congregate.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, filed for bankruptcy Wednesday, six months after disclosing it had paid millions of dollars to people sexually abused as children by its clerics.

The diocese joins at least 20 others across the United States in seeking protection from creditors through the federal bankruptcy system, but it is the first diocese in Pennsylvania to take such a step.

Thank you, sir, I was trying to think of a nice way to say that. You definitely said it in fewer words than I could have.
