I Have Zero Taste In Art

Take a guess at the winning bid for this David Hockney painting at a Southeby’s auction?

My top bid would have been ~£37.

Check the url for actual winning bid...

I think that's Phillbo's house...If he had only painted it three seconds before when the girl was still on the springboard, think what it might have sold for......Ben

I doubt I would pay 37 cents for it.

I sure as hell wouldn’t hang the thing in my house where I would have to see it in passing.

I have zero understanding of art! I think I'll just stick with Ansel Adams and my kids elementary school pictures that they made for be 20,30 and 40 years ago

Its a metaphor for Trump's presidency.

The landscape represents his aspirations, the four cacti his budding dynasty, the building is his domestic empire, the roof symbolizes his love for McDonalds, the pool is the reservoir of our citizens goodwill and resources, and the splash is impeachment.

    Simple.

Well, we certainly can't fault you for a lack of imagination.

My goal was to demonstrate the power of suggestion - and indirectly the influence of critics. I don't know anything about art, and don't give a squirt of pee for this piece. But you all will think of Trump when you see it. You're welcome.

Not me. I just wonder if the girl was wearing a swim suit or not.

What made you think it was a girl?
