While you know my feelings about trump---the current crop of contenders seem worse

That is the quandary I think most of us have.

Yeah, I can't think of a Swing Voter that I know. Seems like voters I know have their party, or candidate, and that's that. They either love or hate a person consistently and constantly.

Her theory that Democrats are supercharged to vote Trump out does not explain the poor turnout in their caucuses in Iowa. Then, of course, the Democrat constituency could be merely keeping their powder dry until they have a real chance to vote againstTrump in November.

To gauge the intensity of D’rat opinion concerning our president, I think this poll is interesting.

Below is a report of a poll of New Hampshire Democrats by a 64% majority in which those polled said they would rather have a life exterminating meteor event for the planet than see President Trump win a second term.

I'd suggest that to that 400 people both options were unacceptable and their response was a simple way of putting an explanation mark on how they feel about trump.

It is no different than the ignorant questionnaires sent by the NRA which ask multiple choice questions that have only one possible answer---the one they want. I started answering in reverse---they don't send them to me anymore.

Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer.

: “The idea that there is this informed, engaged American population that is watching these political events and watching their elected leaders and assessing their behavior and making a judgment.”

“And it is just not true.”
I totally agree. I love the skits where Jimmy Fallon or whoever goes out and asks people at random who the vice president is and similar other questions. The don't knows win every time. Trouble is they all have an opinion that is based on someone else's hyperbole mostly. Be it Fox News, grandpa, spouse, facts don't tend to have a place to hang out it seems.

It does often seem that way, doesn't it?

I've found I most often learn quite a bit about politics and politicians here on this site. And, that's due to our well-informed and articulate members.
