    How much torque?

This is unbelievable. GM is coming back with a all new electric Hummer. Check it out and look at the torque this puppy has.

If it sounds like a diesel, and smells like a diesel and comes in a 6 wheel version, I might take a look...But as of yet, I'm not sold on EV's even they can pull a freight train with 11,500 ft. lbs. of torque......Ben

"When fully operational, the plant will create more than 2,200 jobs..."

Well, definitely got sidetracked by the economic impact.

Why will it take 2,200 people to build a vehicle no one can afford to buy?

Yikes, I guess only the Kardashians will have a fleet of them. Seems impractical and more of a status symbol type vehicle.

I'm sure every drug cartel executive will have to have one with a minimum of 6 inches armor plating all the way around...That 11,500 torque number will come in handy......Ben

Have you priced a new 2020 King Ranch? The fuel savings over 200000.00 miles will offset the 20K price delta...

    Also. Electric = torque

Around here Hummers get shamed pretty hard by the Subaru crowd*. Now only outcasts and counter culture types drive them, kinda like harleys used to be.

I don't mind the joke. Until the Hummer came along us classic bronco guys had the least aerodynamic vehicle in history.

...Hamtramck assembly plant to produce all-electric trucks and SUVs, as well as a self-driving vehicle unveiled by its subsidiary Cruise...
That’s the first I’ve heard of this new GM subsidiary brand.

I’m going to assume the Hummer name will be used on an entirely new configuration, as the old original Hummer was notorious for unusable interior space. If electric motors at all four wheels, couldn’t they eliminate the old Hummer’s dreadful center tunnel box for drive shafts, which took up so much space?
