    Strange that the lady walking and talking on phone never even looked up.
    Individual rights are protected only as long as they don't conflict with the desires of the state .

    I noticed that as well---must be in NY

    I should be more kind, a group of bystanders just lifted a car off of a lady. They really are more caring than often portrayed.

    I'm betting he was playing with his phone.......

    I remember many years back when we had a deputy do the same thing to his (our) patrol car when he was playing with the in-car computer. Had the whole damn parking lot to stop in, but nooooo.

    The things I have seen people doing while driving is astounding!

    The two worst; a bus driver, on an interstate, with the paper spread out over the steering wheel (and yes that did result in a 911 call). The next, was a young lady that I worked with in Toronto, passed me on the way to work with a cup of coffee in one hand, looking in the rear view mirror and applying make-up with the other while "holding" the wheel with her knees---in that case I counseled her.
