    Let the games begin

Well the Senate takes up the impeachment starting tomorrow. I figure it's going to a partisan slug fest that will be embarrassing to most the folks out here paying all the taxes. I have not made up my mind whether I am going to "Philbo" the whole thing (not pay attention) or watch it closely. What really interests me is whether the Dems will have a "bomb" to drop during the hearings. The President will be in Switzerland during the beginning days but I am sure he will have his twitter handy to add further embarrassment to the process. I really hope and that is all I can do that this thing does not degenerate into an ugly, unprofessional street fight. I could see it happening. Hang on this could be a ride.

Well, I have to agree with everything you said above. My fear is this will split even more an already split country. What comes next if that happens?

I said that one time, I think it was during the Clinton dust-up ?? not sure, but I got laughed off the board so to speak. Your right though, how long can a people divided into such hate for each other/for the other side last. Something has to give, Timothy McVeigh keeps coming to mind, Great Britain and Ireland in the 19th and 20th centuries.

One game in which I am interested is whether Hunter Biden will be subpoenaed to testify. As an old criminal defense attorney, I had one golden rule — never put my drug addict clients on the stand because there is no telling what they would say. I even had a fellow attorney who had one druggie client who overdosed and died in the courthouse restroom during an intermission. That kind of pressure is too much to take for a cokehead like Hunter Biden. Why do you think he is addicted to cocaine in the first place? He must be quivering in a dark corner about now with a needle in his arm waiting for the next shoe to drop with his name on it. Did you see the one interview with him when he surfaced for a brief second? Pathetic. No crime family or their attorneys want to see the family Freddo on the stand.

In the meantime, Peter Schweizer’s book on corruption of the D’rat elites and their families is about to drop right in the middle of this hooha. Wonder if Nancy and her corrupt son is in it? Biden & five corrupt family members sucking off Joe’s government connections and influence are all over it. It was the family business, and Joe protecting it by quashing the prosecutor in Ukraine is just characteristic of the plan.

I agree with everything everyone has said , except for what Joe said about Biden on the stand. Some drug addicts are true psychopaths who can lie and decieve easily and don't comply with behavioral norms. Don't know about Biden jr

But here's how I look at this. I helped pay for it, and by God I want it to be as entertaining as possible. I want to see purses swinging and bloody noses and chit. Perform you monkeys

Apparently I'm not missing much by not having any TV reception if the ratings can be believed...It must really be dull watching for the 8.9 million viewers it drew...
That's a hair more than the number of people who watched Chicago Fire on NBC that night. It's nearly a million fewer than the average number of viewers that Jeopardy! scored from October through December of last year. (The recent tournament, Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time, accrued an audience nearly 6 million viewers larger than the second day of the Senate trial.)
I'm glad I have the entire 117 episode DVD set of Lee Marvin's 1957 detective series, "M Squad" to keep me entertained instead......Ben
