Responding to Vice's Freedom of Information Act request, the Navy said it had "discovered certain briefing slides that are classified TOP SECRET. A review of these materials indicates that are currently and appropriate Marked and Classified TOP SECRET under Executive Order 13526 and the Originial Classification Authority has determined that release of these materials would cause exceptionally grave damage to the National Security of the United States."

What could they possibly be hiding? The only thing I can think of that would cause such damage would be the exposure of secret weapons or secret surveillance systems that detected the UFOs. I can't see how confirming alien UFOs could cause the damage they claim. So, I wonder what it is.

I remember posting something here about the Nimitz incident, but I haven't heard anything new since...This reminds me, I need to file a FOI request concerning the missing month of activity in the War Diary of my Uncle's ship...It was just prior to the Japanese surrender when APc-48 was commandeered as a headquarters ship for planning part of the mission in Tokyo...Every other minute of the ship's war history from the moment it was commissioned until its decommissioning is present in the War Diary except that month...I know who took the ship over, and I can find every thing else about him except what he and his command did that month...They may have done nothing more than file papers, but I still want to know......Ben

Mike, imagine if you can just what impact the actual confirmation of the existence of an obviously superior race of beings would do to the [ we are alone and the end all be all ]mentality . I am reminded of the movie Contact, things would really messed up real fast.

Mike guessed that the “secret” the government wishes to conceal is the existence and capabilities of a new radar system that could detect the objects. I posit that the secret could be vastly superior flying devices we made or were made by competing earthly forces, neither of which we would want to publicly recognize or identify.
