Mysterious undersea device snagged by fishing vessel...
The USNS Bruce C. Heezen is an oceanographic survey vessel of the Pathfinder Class. Local media report that it was operating with the permission of the Croatian government. Croatia is a U.S. ally and has been a member of NATO since 2009.
I've written extensively in other media of the oceanographic survey ships, since my Uncle was temporarily assigned to that duty in WWII, and I know of the connection they have to spywork in today's world...I'll be interested to find where this story goes, if anywhere......Ben
