    Slow cooked on indirect heat using mesquite charcoal with the kettle lid vent damped down to hold in the smoke sounds like BBQ to me. Grilling to me is using one of them propane grills with fake smoke.

    That worked for me UNTIL I saw the Sweet Baby Rays Sauce. In truth, that is just too sweet.

    Real BBQ isn't cooked with sauce. The sauce is served on the side, if at all.

    Those look delicious. Yes you are lucky to have the weather you have out there. We are expecting tornado's tomorrow. Sweet Baby Ray's sauce is the clear sauce of choice in my house, however I am the outlier preferring instead vinegar based sauce. Good cooking to you.
