Then coated with kosher salt and a slurry of Herbs De Provence, mustard powder, horseradish powder, Spanish smoked paprika, granulated garlic, onion powder with EVO to create the slurry.

Is that going in the smoker?

No, we are at home and the smoker is up at the cottage.
We are about to leave for church, I'll add to this later. 0

That sounds really good. We had a prime rib on Sunday night. Publix had choice on sale for 6.99 a pound. While no where in the ball park of prime aged it was surprisingly very very good. Could not beat the 6.99 lb price.

    Good to know.
Question: does anyone else detest even the hint of taste of horseradish the way I do? My wife cannot think of prime rib w/o horseradish to finish, but I am the opposite, and I would guess most people are like my wife, but to me that flavor is Satan’s breath. There must be something weird going on with my tastebuds.

With prime rib I've always been one to let the meat speak for itself. Now I'm a little particular about the au jus and the bread. But the meat must speak for itself.
