The Democrats actually purpose that it was a crime to resist being railroaded on silly Trump/Russia conspiracy theories, which proved to be entirely bogus. They still think that will fly. To defend yourself is obstruction, and yeah, I guess it is obstructing...but is it a crime? I take the position that when innocence is established, then defense of it is warranted. Similar to truth is a defense to liable.

Has anyone done their job since Trump was elected? I remember falling into the hate hole with Clinton, just followed along with the rest then I decided/came to my senses, I've never been a follower. I believe Clinton was guilty of quite a few things but I wasn't going to start making stuff up. Turns out Clinton has been one of our better presidents. Trump is an idiot but he is trying to do his job it's the 250 democrats or whatever it is that aren't doing their job. Time to get over it and move on, I hope he embarrasses every one of the story tellers. Reminds me of my divorce hearing, never heard such crazy crap in my whole life.

Indeed. I'm disgusted with the whole damn bunch. And when did anyone start caring what a twit like Megan McCain thinks? WTF is wrong with us?

Yes.. 525 in house and senate.. only one of the 525 doesn’t agree with their party??

Don’t think that he is guilty (beyond a reasonable doubt) of charges... and then again I don’t think that he is innocent..

Now.. if rude, petty and tacky were crimes that would be a different story..

Just my opinion, I could be wrong...

If you are looking for a “totally innocent man,” much less a politician, I wish you well in your search.

    Edited the word totally out..

I believe that he did not commit an impeachable offense but he committed a bucket load of acts that were in the grey area between “ the right thing to do” and crossing the line.

That’s just my opinion, I could be wrong... but I’m sticking to it..

If your opponent is committing gross corrupt acts in Kiev, it doesn’t work to investigate him in Peoria.

But there is no opponent yet.. Biden is too old, won’t be the nominee.. He’s luck Buttigieg “had too much baggage “ to be nominated.

Anyway, when there is an opponent.. our internal politics should not be discussed outside of the US or with foreigners anywhere.. and official duties should not be used as campaign events..

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

An official should not use my tax money to torpedo investigations of his son’s corruption in a foreign land, as a start. The border should not protect corruption.

Fully agree with you. It is a damn shame the founding father's didn't include being an ass as one of the qualifiers--but they didn't---so be it.

I agree in theory.. but the above is the “why” of the subject.

The “what” is asking for help in an investigation.

The “how” is the issue... political/election help was asked in an official/diplomatic environment.

Example: Reverend Doe has a bad personal experience with a car repair on his personal car. Reverend Doe should not ask for help with or comment on a personal car repair issue and the car mechanic involved from the pulpit on Sunday.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong..

The reverend would be justified if the congregation had to pay the freight...in fact, that would be his job.
