    In My Backyard

Not as interesting as Curt's, but these deer are in my backyard. As near as I can tell I have a 4 point, 6 point, 8 point, 9 point and a 10 point. Not all are pictured.

I lived on a wild tract right across Spring Creek from you for years and never saw any of these deer. Strange...

All of the subdivision growth over the years is pushing them into smaller and smaller areas. That's one of the reasons I feed them. The main reason is I like watching them.

Maybe deer go out of their way to avoid pettifoggers just like the rest of us......Ben

Cool. I have a love hate relationship with my trail cameras (I have around a dozen between here and the cabin). The amount of time I spend deleting false triggers, trimming limbs, changing batteries, etc. seems like a lot for every cool picture I get. But I keep on because I enjoy seeing who passes thru each year.

Do you have a lot of daytime pics? Most of mine are daytime. I get excited when I see nighttime pics downloading because thats when the spooky stuff comes out. Usually its just a blurry outline but sometimes not......

These deer are about 30 yards from my back door. I have seen them in the daytime a few times, but no, I don't have any daytime shots except for some does. In previous years, I had some daytime shots, but this year I was late in getting everything set up. Dead batteries and filled memory cards bit me in the butt. I hope to have some daytime pics as the season progresses.
