Good news or bad news. The good news might be in the fact that this could lessen the strain on SS. The bad news is that despite having the highest cost for health care in the world---we are dying at a younger age.
Not mentioned in the article is another concern---these people who are dying, in what should be the prime of their life, no longer contribute to the GDP and the financial welfare of the nation (including SS).

Beyond the immediate cause of the decrease in average lifespan — drugs and inner city violence — I wonder what caused those factors to expand? My guess would be a destitution of spirit and the attendant factors that cause that, which causes people to be receptive to that life style. Your guess?

I'm still alive way to long, guess everything was repaired so now a few miles left.
