    Top Dem says ethics investigation into Devin Nunes likely

    The top Democrat on the House armed services committee said Saturday that Republican Rep. Devin Nunes is likely to face an ethics investigation over allegations he met with an ex-Ukrainian prosecutor at the center of the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.

    “Quite likely, without question,” House Armed Services Committee chairman Rep. Adam Smith (D-Wash) said when asked by MSNBC’s Joy Reid whether Nunes (R-Calif.), the House Intelligence Committee’s top Republican and a longtime Trump ally, could be investigated.

    Oh good! Let's keep this party going for a while. Public discontent with the Democrats and their behavior hasn't quite reached the boiling point yet. Keep it on simmer until the 2020 elections and then turn up the heat.

    I quit paying attention to most of this stuff. The only time I really see much of it is when I see it on my subscription to the "Dave hates Trump" news wire which is a free perk of membership on the Cracker Barrel Philosophers Forum. Look if they dropped the impeachment circus today the AG in NYC is waiting to fire another volley at Trump and I am sure they have all kind of stuff laid out until the last day he walks out of the White house and then I am sure they will try to indict him and send his 75-79 year old ass to prison to die. Then, maybe, just maybe they would be happy. Then maybe not, these Trump haters are a nasty bunch......................

    The D’rats are so protective of the corrupt Bidens, they are trying to sell the proposition that merely investigating one of their own is now an “ethics violation,” if true. Nunes has denied the allegations, btw, if that even matters. To the Democrats, the Bidens and some of their other holies of holies, such as the Clintons, are off limits. I hope they keep bending the rules where the public sees it for what it is.

    This latest brouhaha alleges that Nunes met with the Ukrainian prosecutor that Biden extorted his Russian complicit government into firing before he could investigate Hunter’s involvement with his company. Good, somebody needs to meet with the guy, yet the Democrats are calling foul. Incredible. To buy into this one you need to be dense enough to swallow Joe’s tall tale that he got the prosecutor fired because he not competent enough to give his son a good working over!

    The Democrats grounded their effective opponent, Nunes, once with the ethics tactic once by claiming he talked to the president until the ethics panel laughed it down. It won’t work again. Nunes will keep pounding away.
