Here is what really kills me about this impeachment

Does anyone in their right mind believe that former Presidents didn't ask for favors, concessions, help, dirt, junk, mud, crap or whatever they can get for the billions that we give other countries? Think about it. The only difference here is that the deep state along with their powerful allies in the media have been combing every crumb from day one to find an excuse to impeach.

My prediction: at the end of the day, the Bidens take the fall.

One thing the Democrats have on their side is time. For, Trump will continue to break rules and laws - all they must do is wait and watch.

He's got a lot of more rules and a lot of more laws to break to catch up with what the Deep state did to keep him out of office to begin with. Why do you guys on the left just want to ignore what they did.

If you have been reading the scoops leaking out of DOJ to the NYTs & CNN (naturally), they have a confession of a top lawyer working on the FISA warrants aimed at Trump through Carter Page that he phonyed up some key documents to fool the court. Page has a longstanding lawsuit against the feds on their abuses. What are your over & unders on the eventual payout to Page? I’m betting on it at ~$50,000,000. The real fun starts when the other people surveiled through the use of the illegitimate warrants start suing too.*

Hey, I resemble that. Best I can tell it reefers to either the entrenched bureaucrats who occupy the vast halls of government, or the myriad intelligence/investigative operatives we have spread across the world. I have a cousin from VA (DC) who I believe is "deep state". Retired from the government and is now double dipping as a "contractor". He is a right wing swamp creature.

You might want to do some more reading on that.

    Taken from this morning's WSJ:
Justice Department Watchdog Finds Proper Legal Basis, But Errors, in Russia Probe
Inspector general’s report is expected to find that surveillance of former Trump aide was legally justified, but to also cite missteps including the alleged alteration of an email by an FBI lawyer.

WASHINGTON—The Justice Department’s inspector general is expected to conclude there was a proper legal basis for the government’s application to monitor a former Trump campaign foreign-policy adviser, but that errors and lapses in judgment were made during the process, according to people familiar with the matter.

Among the findings identified in the report is that an FBI lawyer altered an email related to the surveillance of a former Trump campaign adviser, people familiar with the matter said Friday. The conduct didn’t change the watchdog’s overall conclusion.

The allegation, detailed in Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s extensive review into early steps the Federal Bureau of Investigation took in its Russia investigation, is likely to fuel partisan debate over the bureau’s handling of the probe.

Mr. Horowitz told lawmakers this week he plans to release his findings on Dec. 9. Mr. Horowitz has promised minimal redactions in the report, which is hundreds of pages long, a person familiar with it said.

Not time to cheer as yet, unless your purpose is to spin the story.

As a side note: If the NYT has anything on this, I didn't find it this morning.

Oh to spin and spin. Anything to keep the disaster of a week of hearings off the front page.

I guess the Schiff act was some kind of political Rorschach test...there is a decided dichotomy on what it revealed. Fred sees a “disaster,” while I, and many others, see Schiff crapping in his mess kit.
