Stripping away the politics for the moment

I have not heard all the testimony or all of the witnesses to the House Impeachment hearings---but I have heard enough to feel obligated to compliment the career civil servants that I have heard. Overall they are well spoken, obviously bright and knowledgeable in their areas of expertise---and every one has conducted themselves with unquestionable professionalism.

I also have a good idea of the pay rate of many of these people---and it is obvious they are not in it to get rich

We are lucky to have men and women of this caliber serving our country.

I offer my heart felt thanks

The testimony of the bureaucrats is characterized by one similarity — they all are butt-hurt because Trump doesn’t do things the way they have always done them or take their advice.

If you are talking about their demeanor, yes, they are professional appearing...that is the job of diplomates after all, putting on airs.

They act like entitled twits. They always have. I know several and they don't know what a 40 hour work week is, they have great pensions, insurance, job security and first rate digs. The perks can be pretty good too. Working for the gov is not a bad gig if you can get it. Now before our sensitive members get verklempt I am sort of joking but not. Obviously we owe a debt of gratitude to our civil servants most of whom are well below the station of these witness' .

Ever meet anyone from EPA, MSHA, or OSHA? I can think of one agency* in goobermint (out of at least 100) who didn't treat the customers with disregard or worse. It always made me sad. i aint buying that you got exiled to Siberia because you won employee of the month.

On edit: I am changing my comment to recognize one federal agency - the Indian Health Service - as understanding their mission and their obligations. (Not commenting on their success). Other than that I know of one person who cared.

Yes. My wife and I fully agree, and would become government workers again. One thing that was not mentioned - job enjoyment. We were both amazed to get paid for something we enjoyed so much.
