Largest Gaming Company in the World worth $17.3 Billion

"The new company will have 60 casinos with 51,000 hotel rooms, 71,000 slot machines and 3,650 table games. The company will take the Caesars name and be based in Reno."

I may be shallow, but I just want to make sure I can still get a drink 24 hours a day on The Strip. And, I'm excited to see the Chinese Resorts World, $4 billion, 59-story, 3,400-rooms, open next year on The Strip's West side. It's the site of the former Stardust resort.

I stayed at the Stardust during my first Las Vegas SHOT Show...I thought it was a nice place, and I was surprised when it was torn down...I'm glad they're making good use of the location with a new one...

Careful with that 24 hour drinking on the strip though...Remember you're used to Coors...You might want to start with black coffee and slowly build up to maybe Bud Light until your system adjusts......Ben

Yeah - it was a jolt when Stardust got killed. The sad thing was it was one of the most popular and was making lots of money. But, the "next best thing" was coming - or so they thought. Instead, the property sat vacant for years. Wynn's is looking at the lot just South of the old Stardust. But, Wynn is still fighting in court for control of the company, and his ex-wife has been kicked off the board.

Yep - and I figure all those... "investors"... have created an adult paradise {which is fitting because some of The Strip is in the city of Paradise, the rest is mostly in Winchester). My wife and I don't gamble - it just does not interest us. We simply enjoy the entertainment and food options. One of my favorite spots is Fremont Street. I've seen some major acts there including Cheap Trick, KC and the Sunshine Band, George Clinton, etc.
