    Attention: Stargazer Joe...

'Splain this one, Lucy...An entire, and intact, star was booted out of a supermassive black hole and is on its hurried way to the edge of the universe...
"It was born in one of the craziest places in the universe, near a supermassive black hole with lots of other nearby star friends; but it's going to leave our galaxy and die all alone, out in the middle of nowhere. Quite a fall from grace."
    ...Ben

How do we know that beyond our galaxy is the "middle of nowhere"? Maybe it's the beginning of somewhere.....

The timeframes and distances here are incomprehensible. As fast as that body is moving it will take more time than my mind can comprehend just to leave our average little galaxy. By that time our galaxy might be well on its way to collision with nextdoor galaxy, Andromeda, which has a bead on us. Time of arrival — ~4.5 billion revolution of Earth around Sol.

We will have destroyed ourselves long before that happens.

I don't see that ever happening unless some benevolent aliens happen our way to rescue us. That would be a mistake on their part unless they just needed some zoo specimens.

Elvis once promised me in a dream that if I just followed the "G" chord from his 1956 Gibson J200 guitar I would be led to where he is, and could live on fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches with him forever and ever...But my tinnitus wouldn't allow me to pick up on the direction, so I guess I'm stuck here with you goobers......Ben

Her husband’s name was Paul Utz. I am not sure of his rank. We were told by a person interested in the history of losses at his base that the records of that single plane accident could not be found when they looked for them.

Yes, they did a great job tracking down the family and returning the stein. The military remembers its own, it is good to know.
Thanks too to my research assistant.
