    Watching that shot pass by his head causes me to better appreciate some of the risk in sports - even a "non-contact" sport like golf.

    Having been a golfer for too many decades, I have learned the truth of the statement, “A golf ball’s gonna do what a golf ball’s gotta do, and we have very little control over it.” That understanding makes the game much more enjoyable and less frustrating.

    I don't play golf, but I have always thought it would be fun to convert a golf course into a shooting range where targets (clays) fly out without warning to shoot. Target locations would be hidden and frequently moved to keep the game interesting.
