Lets see, execution due to addiction. I'm thinking that would be a hard position to support.

I think it would reduce the number of addicts by not only attrition, but discouragement from even trying the substances...If if had been known to me that I would face execution for addiction, I would never have had that first beer or first cigarette......Ben

Well, I don't agree with Ben, I'd have certainly got drunk at a wedding or something whether I knew I was an addict or not. Had I known how far it was going to go I might not have taken that drink but the future is not ours to see.
I do agree with Phillbo maybe it's time to start bombing or whatever it takes on the cartels, the Rangers could figure out the details.
While I'm at it I'm for the protection of our border. I walked down the border of Russia and Moldovia or Russia and the Ukraine back in 95, there were no walls there also wasn't any defectors. The communists got routed in 89 so the manned gun towers and patrols weren't there anymore. It wouldn't take long for people to realize they needed to do things legal though as far as immigration if we just started stopping them. Open borders is the most ignorant thing ours or any other government could think of. WWII cost the world 100 million people. Our parents fought to make this a free country With borders along with quite a few countries in Europe. WWI was the war to end all wars it didn't are we quite sure that it will never happen again.

I'm pretty sure 15 years ago here I advocated for annexing Mexico. As I recall I claimed the job of mayor of Cabo.

You cannot claim to have lived a full life if you haven't ridden a Mexican zip line.

Cabo is just a bunch of drunken gringos.. I'll take La Paz. Ever been?

I've driven the Baja half a dozen times. There are some very beautiful areas and towns along the Sea of Cortez. The people are down to earth and pretty much untainted.

The latest unbelievable atrocities in our neighboring narco-state of Mexico, these in Juarez within spiting distance of El Paso...you know, that city “Beto” O’Rourke declared should “tear down the walls” separating from the cesspool on the other side, a position he received little if any blowback on from his other Democrat presidential rival at the time —

I drove half way down, ran out of money and Mexican insurance in the mid 90's. Had heard all the doom sayers but had a good time, just pay attention to your surroundings. I wouldn't want to go now.
