    Checking in

Four days and 2500 miles of hauling the horse and we are at Spy Coast Farms in Lexington KY until Tuesday when we move into the Horse Park for the competition. The horse came out of it fine.Click image for larger version.

    Good luck

I have to ask---so the horse came out of the trip fine---how about the traveling companions?

I'm a bit confused, shouldn't the horse be hauling you?

I drove all four legs. Ruth was on conference calls and doing corporate emails. The legs were 600, 650, 690, and 400. I love the heated seats in the truck. Low temp was 7* high of 50*. West of Laramie on I80 was sketchy. 60 mph cross winds, blowing spindrift, and icy patches for 40 miles in below freezing temperatures. The rest of the trip was easy and we traveled at 75 to 80 mph

I was curious what you do with the horse at night. Is there a horse VRBO organization? How do you make arrangements for a stall for the night?

Damn that must to have been fun.

Remember when we brought a couple of horse down from WA to AZ. We'd stop every few hours and check on them and if there was an area to take them out and walk them around we take advantage of that. Mostly it was on those overpasses that go almost nowhere.

Sometimes the net has great things. Horse hotel is one of them.

Yes - they make the Winters here tolerable. Add a heated steering wheel, and life gets even better.

I like the cooled seats in my vehicles. Not a whole lot of need for heated seats, but I do like them when needed.
