The entire Ukrainian impeachment gambit is designed to get a jump on what Barr, Durham and Horowitz have coming down the pike and serve as a distraction from that.

Joe---very little time at the moment----but please educate me.

I did not see any "transcript" in the NYT. What I saw was a collection of notes----that can be read at talking speed in 10 minutes, the conversation took 30. trump calls this a transcript--it is not. In addition, a collection of notes could be "edited" and redacted very easily.

So, if I missed the real thing---please point me in the right direction.

A president called Obama stood up well to the political shots cast against him. Do you remember Trump hitting Obama on the "birth certificate" issue? If possible, take some time to convince me of efforts to impeach Obama for his actions in office. I don't think you'll find them - Obama was squeaky clean compared to Trump.

That's because there weren't any, at least in my limited memory...That's not to say that there weren't plenty of accusations and publicity concerning possible chargeable offenses against Obama...But is it conceivable that the Republican majority leadership at the time thought it more important to advance the needs of the nation over the need to grandstand against the opposing President?...The efforts brought forth by the current Democrat leadership indicate to me that their importance is placed more heavily on bringing down a President who has brought about considerable improvements for the nation, rather than springboarding from those successes with him to insure lasting effects benefiting the American people......Ben

Your are kidding right? Are you making the assertion that Obama went through anything even close to what Trump is dealing with? You do agree I am sure that the mass media was in love with Obama and treated him with velvet gloves, right? Ute, my gosh they were calling for Trump's impeachment before he was sworn in and it never stopped.

Let’s see how much sanctimony Mr. Clean has after John Durham tracks down the origins of the Trump/Russia fraud.

There are a lot of things that I know that the NYT has and has never published and I respect them for that.
