    Working on a budget...

Here in Montgomery County our Constables' Departments stay busy, and none moreso with drug traffickers begging to be arrested than Precinct 4...So many in fact that Constable Rowdy Hayden, needing a temporary spot to house his inbound prisoners before depositing them in the county jail, installed a holding cell in his office...Not wanting to spend any more of his already strained budget, his men found two discarded Coca-Cola vending machine cages, and repurposed them......Ben

Why does a vending machine need a cage? I'm lost. Never seen one in a cage.

Does Otis check himself in every night after a good drunk?

The cage keeps ne'er-do-wells from popping the change box open to finance their next crack purchase...Your question about Otis reminds me of an overnight visit to the burgeoning city of Forney, Texas back when I led a less noble life......Ben

Down here they steal the cages also. At $90 a ton for scrap every little bit helps.

They are used in places where there is little to no security like parks. The cages have openings that allow you to put in your money and get your drinks.

They are used in areas where most of the people that are walking around need to be in cages since they steal everything they can find

You can join the list of pols who were catching up on modern culture, such as George Bush and bar code readers and AOC and garbage disposals. Oh, I forgot, you don’t know who AOC is too. We’ll get to that later.

I know what AOC is, it's a diabetic condition.

I'm not as stupider as I look.
