    It sounds to me like the district needs to hire a management company to deal with the minutiae while the board only meets once a month, or quarterly to deal with the bigger issues. Of course, that's easy for me to say looking in from the outside through obscured windows.

    Have to agree with Mike on this one. Seems like it's time to hire someone and have the board review as needed once a month.

    My hat's off to you Dave for doing it now. I know that's a lot of time to devote to the community. When I was working it was very seldom a complaint came up on the building side and with out someone with building knowledge to be there, we would have reverted back to no codes at all.

    I don't disagree, but to this point I have not succeeded in convincing my fellow board members that we need to hire a professional operations manager. There comes a point that you cannot always promote from within--and we passed that a long time ago.

    Our office manager works hard but not necessarily smart--- which bleeds through the entire office staff.
