    Relax, they float. To be fair, pretty much the whole damn place is a swamp. And caribou dont seem to distinguish between water and tundra when they plot their course. I argued with the guide for quite some time about the wisdom of his advice but in the end he won. And got to go swimming in the snow showers.

    I've been put in similar situations with guides so I understand---it is also one of the reasons why I avoid guides whenever I can.

    Its actually an interesting and entertaining story that Im surprised I didn't share here. I will put in the shooting forum so those who don't like the bloodsports can avoid it easier. But it will have to wait a couple of hours.
