Not for me!
Until the MB came along it was a long time since I had a black car----and I completely forgot how hot they can get when parked in the sun.
The difference between my dark grey Explorer and the MB is amazing. At times, I can't even hold on to the steering wheel in the MB without pre-cooling it.

I saw an article yesterday in which a guy with one of those temperature reading instruments went in a parking lot here in Texas during a sunny day and measured surface temps of identical white and black cars. The white one was 118 degrees & the black 146 degrees if memory serves. I’ve always questioned the sanity of anyone in Texas with a black car, especially If the interior is black.

My truck is white with cloth interior. My buddies is black with black leather interior. He regrets it every day.

All my previous trucks were black, the current one is white...I don't notice a difference in temperature, it's always hot in the summer......Ben

My car is medium grey and it gets plenty hot. I had ceramic infused tinting applied to all but the windshield and have really felt a difference.

Actually the wife got one of those sun shades. It really makes a difference. FWIW mine's light silver with a black leather interior.

My longbed crew cab was black with gray interior. Man was it beautiful washed!!Biggest problem was my driveway was 1/4 mile long dirt road. By the time I could get to the public road it was dirty again. I'm with you, no black trucks since, I'm way too anal.Originally Posted by UTAH
