I'll quickly give you the crib notes Ben.
She was given up by her parents at birth--for obvious reasons. Her adopted parents raised her to never say "I can't". She had an early love of gymnastics and they supported her in that. As a young girl her hero image was another young lady (I can't recall her name) who was not handicapped. It turned out, as an adult she learned her hero image was her own sister!
