The NYT’s Chief Editor Confesses His Paper Led A Hoax For The Last Two Years

...and then told his newspaper troops they have a new hoax — Trump Racism!

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/o...o-trump-racism

A tape of the newspaper’s powwow with its employees leaked and admissions of its concentration on the Trump/Russia Collusion hoax/fiasco was on the menu. The entire debacle was brought to light when a recent article bore a headline which failed to castigate Trump. This was unacceptable to the troops and was swiftly ameliorated by a new headline doing the usual dirty job on their target of corporate hate, but the mere fact that one fair headline escaped the usual editorial chop was reason enough for some deep leftist soul-searching and a meeting. We ain’t havin’ no mo damned fair headlines, boys & girls & zirs!

Let me see if I have learned the way forward from being a "deplorable".

    1. Your source is ridiculous and unreliable.
    2. Trump did it all I promise.
    3. I am assuming you know that you have embarrassed yourself.
    4. I hate Trump (can you tell)

I figured the dupes who subscribe to that paper would not believe what hoaxes they have been fed even when the editor admits it. I was right, and you just had it confirmed on our pages.

I have no illusions as to the warts at the NYT---but I also know there is far more to the NYT than politics. I am astute enough to pick the fly **** out of the pepper---something, it seems, many expect their sources to do for them while providing only the spin that they find to their liking.

That's what we're talking about here politics and the New York Times is as biased and left-leaning as other sources are right-leaning folks tend to migrate to the side they believe in. You like the left-leaning I like the right-leaning.

The New York Times received yet another Pulitzer award this year from its lackey committee, this time for its reporting on the ludicrous “1619 Project” described in my original post above. Recall that the NYTs editor admitted that the project was designed to distract from the humiliation of devoting years and 18,000 articles to promoting the now disproved Trump/Russia Collusion meme.

Yep - and I think we all know where most media hang their political hat. I'm surprised so many here seem shocked by that, with the exception of our friend, Honda.

“Surprised” is not the word. “Revulsion” is closer.

The Washington Examiner was a free tabloid handed out at suburban subway entrances (Washington Post also had a free handout) and newspaper boxes..x5 years ago the Examiner discontinued the daily free paper and went to a weekly edition distributed in newspaper boxes and online ... the weekly print edition was discontinued over a year ago.. so now online only.. Examiner is not a news powerhouse..

But.. I did enjoy reading the free tabloid on the subway.. x1 year ago the Post stopped the freebie..

Regardless, the tape of the New York Times editor speaking to his newsroom leading off the thread is factual and has never even been denied despite the organ I chose reporting it to kick off the discussion of the reprehensible job the Times did trying to manufacture a revolt against Trump. The Times editor condemned themselves. The Washington Examiner did not waste 2 1/2 years and 18,000 articles on BS, but the NYTs did, but even so, their lapdog, The Pulitzer Committee, gave them its top prize for more BS they published to detract from the past folderol they gave the same prize.

Walter Duranty Pulitzer at the NYTs all over again. And they thought (and preyed) they could live that one down. Of course, at that time in 1932, the Pulitzer was only about 15 years from when its namesake was still known as the yellow journalism it was, but now it still has some good reputation left for people who do not know better.

I still just don't see a problem here. Big deal, the NYT backs Democrats while Fox backs Republicans. It is what it is and is widely known. To act shocked like we're seeing something new is literally Fake News.

That's true. We all know it, so why waste time arguing about it? We should spend that time figuring out how to counter news providers gone wild.

In my opinion, the news media should only report the news. The reports should be pure, no spinning allowed. No slants allowed. The news media can still have its traditional "opinions", but only in the editorial section. That's where it belongs.
