Dear David,

A little less than two years ago, Texas suffered a staggering blow from Hurricane Harvey. You, and thousands of others, reacted quickly and generously to help launch the Rebuild Texas Fund and raise $100 million to support the families and communities devastated by that historic storm.

Today, we are pleased to share the fund’s two-year report (PDF) and celebrate the progress, resilience, and resourcefulness of communities across the 41 impacted counties. The report highlights the ways in which your contributions are making an incredible difference in the lives of so many. Highlights include:
•All $100 million raised is at work in communities across the 41 counties
•More than 1.1 million people are being directly served by funded projects
•191,400 people have been provided health and mental health services and training
•1,376 homes have been repaired or rebuilt, so far
•3,725 teachers in 890 schools were funded to replace learning materials and supplies
•126 community and school facilities have been supported for repairs or rebuilding

There are two major factors that have made this impact possible: your generosity and the ongoing commitment of community leaders, volunteers, and partner organizations who have dedicated themselves to bringing their communities back stronger than before. While there is still work ahead, we are in awe of all that has been accomplished and applaud the hard work, resilience, and resourcefulness we see at work every day in communities.

We are grateful for your support and honored to continue working alongside communities through 2020 as they complete funded projects.

With continued thanks,
Rebuild Texas Fund team
