The Garlic Festival shooter has not been overlooked---his motives ares still not understood---not unlike the Dayton shooter. The shooter in El Paso was considerate enough to leave an epistle behind which, if believed, defines his motive.
The Dayton shooter had ties to the liberal left but there is no known direct connection between those beliefs and the shooting.
I don't know what the remedy is for all of this--but we damn well need to do something---even if it turns out not to be the best course---standing still isn't working.
