Nobody is excusing a damn thing Dave, it's just that some of us here are not so blinded by hatred that we refuse to see the positive, something you apparently are incapable of doing.

I will not wait for a Utopian leader, when an imperfect one - and only one, it seems to me - is available now, foibles and all. I’m curious who you have spotted vying for your throw-away vote though, Dave. Names? Who was that last guy you voted for...Johnson, or something? Guy’s father built a nice cancer hospital, as I recall.

I guess he can answer for himself but according to what I've read here he voted for Barack Obama a president in retrospect accomplished very little but he was a good speaker and very presidential that is of course if you ignore recordings of him seeking patience with Vladimir Putin to wait until he gets another term so that he can give concessions.

I did vote for Gary Johnson in 2012 but not in 2016. In 2016 I wrote in Paul Ryan. I did not vote for Sen. Romney in 2012, primarily due to his seeming vacillations on issues. Today, I would vote for him in a heart beat. My candidate of choice in 2106 was John Kasich--and I hope he runs again.
I don't regard my vote as being a throw away---it is and should be understood as a protest to the anointed jack ass.

Hickenlooper is basically the update to Johnson. Apparently we grow em laid back out here Neither of them are qualified to run the country.....but I guess the qualifications for the office are evolving.

    From this morning's NYT:

More than 2,000 migrants who were in the United States illegally were targeted in widely publicized raids that unfolded across the country last week. But figures the government provided to The New York Times on Monday show that just 35 people were detained in the operation.

President Trump had touted the raids — called Operation Border Resolve — as a show of force amid an influx of Central American parents and children across the southern border. After postponing the raids in June, Mr. Trump said ahead of time that they would take place last week.

Two current Department of Homeland Security officials and one former department official also confirmed to The Times that an enforcement operation would take place around mid-July.

But the publicity may have prompted many of those who had been targeted — 2,105 people in more than a dozen cities who had received final deportation orders but had not reported to Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers — to temporarily leave their homes, or to move altogether to evade arrest.
    Imagine that----damnnnnnnn

I’m certain that Hillary, Pelosi and the many other pols who gave advice to illegals ordered deported on how to avoid deportation, conceal themselves and further embed in society are greatly pleased, as are our Never-Trumpers here and elsewhere who relish any failure of the current administration upon which to gloat even if at the cost of damage to our society.

..and I have to say that I am equally appalled by the always-trumpers who continue to support his childish behavior. As for claimed coaching from the liberal side---based on my experience of years ago there was no coaching required

As a self identified Republican or Independent I am certainly happy this brings you so much glee. Not me.

Who are the "always-trumpers" on this board. I don't know of anybody on here that has not criticized Trumps behavior at times. Stop spreading fake news. Most of us have said repeatedly that we do not support Trump's personality, his incessant tweets, ect. BUT we do support most of his policies. So if you are going to attack and I am happy for you to do so please be accurate.

I have no doubt in my mind that most of the Democrats and their fellow-traveling Never Trumpers pray everyday for an economic recession to hit before the election. No misery is too small in their eyes if it removes Trump from power.

I hope not but there are signs about of that very thing, Joe.

I would hope that is a very small minority----I'd guess it to be less than the 30 percenters who see no evil, hear no evil
