    Thank you, Honda.

I've learned the locals think it's odd enough to stand around and stare at. But, I never would have driven such a vehicle while doing government work. It would have gotten me fired. It's nice to reach a point where it no longer matters.

I have been in one one time. It made quite an impression as he floored it entering the freeway in San Diego. I think my stomach has finally found it's way back out of my throat and it was several years ago. I think we were doing right at 130 when he "blended in'.

I saw one of those parked way out in a parking lot about a month ago. It was so all by itself and different I had to drive over and take a look. I thought I was gonna get me one of those until I saw the price tag!

    Dayum! Enjoy that thing!

    I hear you, Mike.

The price was "reasonable." The dealer knocked off $31,000 as the vehicle was a leftover. But, frankly, I bought it due to the sound system installed - a Burmester surround sound system. It goes to show that, inside, I'm still a young boy.

Never heard a Burmester, but I would love to. The sound system in my vehicles is of primary concern, and I have bought several Lexus cars with that in mind starting with a 1990 one that had a Nakamichi system in it. Some of my best listening is in the car or truck, when there is time to waste. I bought an Infiniti car once that I really enjoyed, but the sound system sucked, and after dumping $2000 to try to bring it around, I simply had to sell the thing despite the car being fine in every other way.

Yes, same with me. I'm also one of those who sinks significant money (and time) into improving a stock sound system. So, I figured I'd do it up front this time. For me, a good sound system makes driving worthwhile.

Apparently I'm different...My idea of a good sound system is a great sounding exhaust...Every high dollar stereo I've ever been shown is played so loud I can't understand the music...I just don't see the point in that......Ben

A great sound system is measured best by its subtlety, not how loud it can be. The sound system in EVs against no engine noise is a big reason I look forward to my first such vehicle. I listen to a lot of talk radio however, and the consequent loss of AM in an EV because of the reported static they produce in the AM frequency range would be a serious consideration though.

Tell that to the annoying teenagers who drive by my house, and the obviously deaf car owners showing off their ridiculously loud radios at the various car shows I attend......Ben

Those bozos have not been able to hear for years, thus the volume turned off the scale to compensate, which enhances the problem.

Yes, the irony is that listening to loud music damages ear drums, making it more difficult to hear well when old.

Went back and looked at the photo in #1 above. You know, that car is absolutely drool-worthy!

Quite a beautiful car! I'd miss my diesel though. I just like a truck, a little better shape than the one I have would be nice but either way a truck is my pick. I can't drive those fast cars anyway I'd probably wreck it first time out. When I want to go fast I grab the bike.

My sentiments exactly...If I need to get somewhere sooner, I just leave the house earlier......Ben
