    Here's a dubious distinction...

Chevy is working on a truck that could be the first pickup to top $100,000...
Chevy is just rolling out an all-new version of its heavy-duty Silverado with the new High Country trim package that could become the first U.S. pickup to top $100,000, Chevy truck marketing chief Sandor Piszar said in an interview.

That is plain nuts----especially when you look at the price of a Corvette.

Yes, 50 years ago the thought of a pickup truck priced over any Corvette was unthinkable...But given the choice of a truck or a Vette as a daily driver today, I'll be the guy in the truck...I have never been able to make myself comfortable in the Corvette...I'll take the two-seater that hauls my groceries now......Ben

If there is any bodily discomfort it falls away when I let out the clutch and punch the gas pedal

Diesel fuel not only takes me where I want to be, but it repels skeeters, cleans stains, makes a great aftershave lotion and serves as a condiment on my scrambled eggs every morning...Electricity will never do that, Elon......Ben

I actually misstated that — EVs will BE all sporty vehicles.

Faster, cleaner, less maintenance & stealthy...but then it’s that rumbling, nasty noise & turning wrenches youse guys like, right? The worst thing...no AM radio.

I have to admit to thinking the quietness of the MB was going to be a deterrent to smashing the pedal---to the contrary---every hotshot that comes along thinking they can have their "will" with me has been embarrassed by it. I have to admit that 0-60 in 4.6 sec in something that size does bring a smile to my face, even without a throaty roar.
