For me one of the best part of Wings Over Houston has always been the appearance of the US Navy's demo team, the Blue Angels...And as good as they are, my favorite performer is Fat Albert, a C-130 used to transport crew and gear from one point to another, and generally made part of the air exhibition...The last time they flew in Houston, Fat Albert was nearing the end of its service life, and did not perform...But in 2021 it will return along with new F/A-18 Super Hornets for the team...The new Fat Albert is actually a used C-130J bought back from the British, and will be refitted and refurbished before joining the team...
