"Earlier today State Park Rangers responded to reports of gun shots at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. A male possibly in his mid-20s yelled out and started shooting with a 10 millimeter Glock around the area. It was unclear who he was shooting at. No one was hurt in the suspect's fire. Rangers shot the suspect and he was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity is not available at this time. California State Parks is working closely with the Monterey County Sheriff's Department, California Highway Patrol and the District Attorney's Office.
