5M [Limited English Proficiency] LEP Students In Public Schools Present Huge Issues

Few qualified teachers and limited funds present a growing problem with ill-educated masses matriculating or dropping out into the populace. One small example from Baltimore public schools —

...The percentage of students achieving proficiency in Math is 9% (which is lower than the Maryland state average of 42%) for the 2015-16 school year. The percentage of students achieving proficiency in Reading/Language Arts is 10% (which is lower than the Maryland state average of 44%) for the 2015-16 school year.

Minority enrollment is 81% of the student body (majority Hispanic), which is higher than the Maryland state average of 61%.

Can't understand a damn word by grand kids say, they blabber in a different language. Schools don't even try to make them learn good English.

They can't Billy we're to busy showing how caring we are. You can't allow thousands of people to pour over the border to starve and live in tents, literally. Too many people are relying on the system to raise their kids and to feed them. Nobody wants to be a cop or a fireman anymore, too few want to do better it seems, too many people are content to live on the fringe and bitch. And nope I don't have an answer.

I call BS on no one wanting to be a fireman. Here in California we get 1000+ applicants per job opening

I meant in general in that kids don't want to be because they want to be King James or Kid Rock. That's wonderful and I'm glad for it. But really, you're going to jump on me over that. You know you'll don't have to get so bent out of shape every time somebody says something you don't agree with. I'll be the first to say sorry I got that part wrong. I don't jump on anybody, I only argue when I think I'm right but I still don't call BS because I disagree. whoops, I got one wrong thanks triguy! In hindsight, I've done it all but I don't harp on one topic period. There's good in everybody and bad, it is what it is. Show me the facts if I want to ignore those that's on me. One more thing a liberal rag like the NYT or the WP, those are not facts they are opinions.
