I can or will clarify now. Up until this week going to the mailbox was a good day for me. Some are in remission some are being cut out and there's nothing they can do with my brain lesions and growth of same but I am going to still be able to hang around and ....how did he put it, oh yea stalk ya I am feeling much better. Compared to the bikes I've seen here I've got nothing but it will ride, I'm going to get it back from my son and do a block at a time or half a block whatever I can. No worries about mountains for me though.

I have met a hand full of cyclists between the lower 48 and Deadhorse (Prudhoe Bay) that were doing extreme rides---a few from the Arctic Ocean to Terra del Fuego Chili. One was a man in his 60's that was about 100 miles south of Deadhorse on his north bound journey from Terra del Fuego. He had been robbed two or three times and beaten up once while in South America. Their route follows (as best as possible) the Pan-American highway.

I am in awe of all of them---what a commitment!

Know somewhat how you feel Mike. Glad you are doing better.

As for the race interesting to see how much they covered so far.
