    As for a pool. Neighbor's put in one a few years ago, bet they haven't used it more dozen times. We went with an above ground one until the liner finally gave it up. Tore it down and saved a bunch of $$$ on pool supplies.

    I’ve put in two pools at my wife’s insistence each over $50k, and I would be hard pressed to think they raised the value on resale $10k. This last house I insisted no pool. One of my happiest moments is finally being rid of a pool. If you want a pool, buy a house that someone else took the hit on. At least with a solar installation, it just sits there mostly maintained free, I would think.

    There is maintenance. They sell maintenance packages so i would assume it's minimal until the controllers start to age.
