Is there a time limit to post?

Ok lets start with facts: I usually use an old iPad because im lazy. And i have 10 thumbs and hit the screen like im driving nails. So some of this could be on my end

When i try to make a long post i get logged out. I will be typing and adding smileys and everything works fine but when i hit submit it kicks me off and back to the login page? And all my magnificent thoughts are lost

Is there a character limit or time limit?

And while im here in your office with my feet on your desk, why do the smileys get shuffled every time i go look for one?

That's a new one on me...I know of no time or character limit before or after I used to have the keys to the front office...But after Mike's last software upgrade, all your hard work gets saved even if you accidentally log out...So you should be able to return to it...

And that ain't no desk you've got yer feet on, it's my mop bucket...And turn the light off in my janitor's closet when you leave...Us retired administrators have some rights you know......Ben

I don’t know how to retrieve from the auto-save thingy, but you might consider typing your thoughts into Pages then copy & paste.

Just for you Joe...The attachment shows where to click after you have auto-saved and returned to the thread clicking the reply button again...When you hover your mouse pointer in the red-circled area, the message becomes clear...Click it and your saved post returns...

At least that's how it works with God's gift to computing, Microsoft Windows...I have no idea what it looks like on your antiquated Chinese Apple product......Ben

So when and how does the “Restore Auto-save” message come up? I don’t recall ever seeing it, and it does not come up now for me?

Personally I blame the late Steve Jobs and the squinty eyes you developed as a pettifogger for your inability to see it, but I see the "auto save" appear on the right side of the reply window periodically in yellow...Then if you leave the thread and then return to the same thread without posting, it appears in the reply window as in the picture I posted......Ben
