    Don't believe trump

First let me clearly state that I believe the immigration laws in this country are irreparably broken and need a complete overhaul.

I also don't believe trump has a clue of the complexity of the demographics of this issue--and he spews lies, half truths and distortions at will, in an effort to toss peanuts to his audience while ignoring the facts.

There is an excellent and detailed article in this mornings WSJ that deals in the facts we seldom see. Unfortunately, a subscription is required to see it.

If nothing else our own selfish motives to assure our own future economic health should cause us to fix this problem. trump's claim that we are "full" is either misguided ignorance or just another lie.

Here is just a touch of the detail presented in this well written piece:

I think what we're seeing is Trump simply addressing immigration "hot points" without targeting underlying or allied issues. Thus, it appears to be a knee-jerk, emotional reaction. I think this is part of his appeal to many. For, he does not overthink issues or hold back his emotions to them. People can identify with his stance - 'cause, like Trump, I don't think most Americans fully understand immigration either.

We deserve---the country deserves---better than a misguided campaign of falsehoods predicated by selfish political interests.

trump is in the position to educate and lead, instead be deals in ignorance.

Nearly everybody in the world wants to be here, and we do not want nearly everybody here. What is the best way to stem the flow?
