Tips On Insuring Better Privacy On The ‘Net

Mike turned me on to the “Incognito/Private” browsing feature of my computer to defeat some websites’ paywall programs, but they have other uses as well. The article above gives some tips for those of us who value privacy from intrusive surveillance of our activities on the web, if you are willing to take the extra steps to foil them. Not sure I am at this point, but this is a resource to consider. The use of multi browsers or VPN would make life harder, and I am not very paranoid in the first place, but I hate the idea of foul entities like Google or Amazon knowing all about me so they can use for their promotions or sell it to other offenders.

I read yesterday that Facebook is still gathering and distributing information on members, even those who have disabled their accounts...I can't find the article now, but it was said that the only way to stop it is to completely delete your account...Even then Facebook claims to continue tracking you for six months, after which they promise to leave you alone......Ben

I use a Tor browser when I get to thinking I care but for the most part I don't care.
