Ultimate Humiliation — “Green New Deal” Gets Zero Votes In Senate

Not even its sponsor in the senate, one Edward Markey (D-Utopia), one of the dimmest of wits in the Congress, voted for his own bill. The debacle was so profound that those Democrats in the senate running for president who had endorsed the bill, which was all of them, refused to vote for it repeating the party mantra that bringing the measure to the floor for the real test was a Republican “trick.” So, in the end, needing 60 votes to pass the senate, the Green New Deal was 60 votes short.

I came close to causing a scene at breakfast this morning as I read that
"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity, an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty” ---Sir Winston Churchill
"Political extremism involves two prime ingredients: an excessively simple diagnosis of the world's ills, and a conviction that there are identifiable villains back of it all." ---John W. Gardner

A rock throw away from my house we have big green trees, so do those nuts know there's green out there?
