Why Does Trump Continue To Battle McCain?

McCain died about 7 months ago. Why does Trump continue his attacks on this dead American hero?

Because McCain was a very strong force in the Rep party and Trump saw him as an obstacle to his agenda and he went into a full NY real estate, ego maniac, meglamaniac, fit and challenged McCains heroism which led McCain to screw him on the Health Care vote. As of late there are reports that McCain or his folks were pushing the dossier behind the scenes so as usual Trump has gone off again on one of his narcissistic I must win at all costs childish Twitter rants. It's sad. I have said this before and I will say it again. If Trump had kept his trap shut, stayed off the Twitter and had some modicum of Presidential behavior he would be over 50 percent in the ratings and cruising towards a second term. Unfortunately he has done it to himself. I don't get the guy, but I remain steadfast that I do like a whole bunch of his policies and for the record there is a whole bunch about him I abhor.

Honda nailed it to the wall. Trump has nothing to gain with his tirade even where he is correct, and where he is terribly wrong saying McCain was no hero, it really hurts him. The guy is insufferably narcissistic and a bore. He ought to realize by now he is giving his old dead enemy a posthumous win long after he could fight.

I may not have agreed with everything in John McCain's political history, but I totally disagree with Donald Trump's continual attack on a man looked at as an American patriot...The fact that McCain can only rely on those left alive to defend his honor hurts Trump more everyday as neutrals take sides against his detestable tirades...I question not only Trump's judgement, but even his sanity at this point......Ben

John McCain deserved to be attacked for many of his actions...while he was alive.

I sincerely appreciated John McCain's service to our country. He endured a living hell along with many others. For that we should all be greatful. As a politician I thought he was mediocre at best. His presidential campaign was a train wreck and picking his running mate was a political disaster of epic proportions. I always felt he had a sense of entitlement beyond the gratitude he was continuously given for his service. I know people in Washington that have worked with him and they best describe him as a SOB. I am always sad when a person passes. But in life he was not one of my favorites. Now I feel guilty for speaking about the passed, but I did it.

Don't feel guilty. I think you are pretty much on target.

I'll never understand that mentality. I wouldn't spit on my ex if she was on fire but I don't go out of the way to trash her. I hear weekly what a horrible dad I am and a horrible man. That I'm a dead beat dad and she doesn't know how she made it. Forget the house that I bought her lock stock and barral, so the kids wouldn't be pushed from one school to another, hell just clothing those kids takes a small forturn. With the child support she bought cars and the kids never got a dime or got to go on a vacation, with her anyway. Never got anything, she's a really horrible woman but I don't think there is a soul that thinks different, not even out of the dozen churches that "Supported her" in her forays into what ever. Even now when I help her I'm the evil bastard. She was basically a big bully, in court constantly with me havnng to pay court charges. Anything she could do belittle or downgrade my character she did it, truth be damned the woman is evil except when she's in church on sunday talking in tongues and waving her hands in the air.
Trumps attacks on McCain still trying to prove he's a better man don't do anything but prove over and over that he's beaten and knows it..

But his "living hell" was a cake ride compared to all the other POW's as Songbird san a sweet song to keep from being treated like the rest of the POW's. If not for his daddy he would have been kicked out of the Navy earlier......
